How to protect your hair from unnecessary damage

Here are my 5 top tips to help prevent hair damage:

1. In my blog post on 'Heat Reduction and Heat Protection', I suggest allowing your hair to air dry up to 80% before using heat styling tools. This approach helps minimise the damage caused by excessive heat exposure.

2. It is crucial to brush your hair gently after washing, especially if it is prone to tangling, in order to reduce hair damage. Personally, I prefer using a wide-tooth comb such as the one offered by Brushworks available at https://tidd.ly/3JF5I6w

This comb effectively detangles with minimal harm to the hair.

3. I recommend to refrain from using tight elastics to tie up your hair, especially when going to sleep, as they may lead to hair breakage and unevenness. Instead, opt for a silk or satin hair tie like the ones available here, or a claw clip like the ones found here.

4.    Swap your hair towel for a hair wrap. Me and my little girls love these ones https://tidd.ly/4ddTluJ

5.    If you want to really treat yourself, invest in a silk pillow https://tidd.ly/4dcPEFN
