Masks, Serums and Leave in Conditioners

Updated: Oct 1

There are so many options out there at the minute so it’s easy to get confused about what you need to use, why you need to use it and when. Hopefully this will help break it down for you:

Masks – Hair masks are a great deep treatment for your hair. I wouldn’t recommend doing hair masks every week but save them for a special occasion or when your hair really needs it. I would recommend using a hair mask after a summer holiday when your hair has been exposed to a lot of sun, chlorine and sea water. These are all really drying for the hair so a good hair mask will revive and hydrate any dry ends. Hair masks are also really good to use during the change from summer to autumn/winter time. When the heating is on a lot in the house it can often change the texture of your hair. Again, like I said before, don’t use hair masks all the time but when you notice your hair is feeling quite dry and needs a boost. My favourite hair masks are:

Hairburst Long and Healthy Hair Mask https://tidd.ly/4gy7PZp (use code HBLOUISED for a discount)

Coco and Eve Like a Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut and Fig Hair Mask https://tidd.ly/3TyAP9f (use code LFTFLOUISEDELANEY for a discount)

Serums – I highly recommend adding a hair serum into your haircare routine. Every time I wash my hair, I add a serum to the ends of my hair (from my ear lobes down, avoiding the roots) Using a serum regularly keeps on top of any frizz and dryness. My favourite serums are both by Color Wow:

Leave in conditioners – are great for on holiday in the sunshine. If you are going on a sunny holiday and your hair is going to be exposed to the sun, chlorine or sea water then it’s a great idea to put a leave in conditioner through your hair in the morning to give your hair protection. My favourite is:

Redken Extreme Anti Snap Leave in Treatment https://tidd.ly/3XyaFVg
