With numerous options available currently, it can be confusing to determine what to use, why it's needed, and when to use it. The following breakdown aims to clarify these aspects for you:
Using hair masks can be a fantastic way to deeply treat your hair. Instead of using them weekly, it's best to reserve them for special occasions or when your hair is in need of extra care. One ideal time to apply a hair mask is after a summer holiday, as sun exposure, chlorine, and sea water can be very drying to your hair. These elements can leave your hair feeling parched, but a quality hair mask can help revive and hydrate any dry ends. Hair masks are also beneficial during the transition from summer to autumn/winter, especially when indoor heating affects your hair's texture. Remember not to overuse hair masks; apply them only when your hair feels noticeably dry and requires a nourishing boost. Some of my preferred hair masks include:
Hairburst Long and Healthy Hair Mask https://tidd.ly/4gy7PZp (use code HBLOUISED for a discount)
Coco and Eve Like a Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut and Fig Hair Mask https://tidd.ly/3TyAP9f (use code LFTFLOUISEDELANEY for a discount)
If you want to enhance your haircare routine, I strongly suggest incorporating a hair serum. After washing my hair, I always apply a serum to the tips (from ear lobes downwards, avoiding the roots). Consistently using a serum helps control frizz and dryness effectively. My preferred serums are both from Color Wow.
Kale infused https://tidd.ly/47vfDXy
Coconut infused https://tidd.ly/3TtxAQK

Leave-in conditioners are excellent for use during sunny holidays. If you are planning a sunny vacation where your hair will be exposed to the sun, chlorine, or sea water, it is advisable to apply a leave-in conditioner in the morning to protect your hair. My preferred choice is:
Redken Extreme Anti Snap Leave in Treatment https://tidd.ly/3XyaFVg
